About This Project
The Self-Reliant project is built on the belief that a single sewing machine can transform a family's financial future. By providing quality sewing machines to underprivileged women — especially widows, divorced women, and those from extremely poor households — we enable them to earn a sustainable income from home.
Each machine comes with a package of training sessions, where beneficiaries learn professional tailoring, garment making, and small business management. We also connect graduates with local markets and boutiques.
Since launch, over 20 women have received machines, many of whom now run their own micro-enterprises and have become financially independent, breaking the cycle of poverty in their households.
