Mrittrikar Ghran

The Mrittrikar Ghran (Smell of Earth) project is AdDReSSBANGLADESH's flagship environmental initiative focused on countering the rapid deforestation that threatens Bangladesh's ecological balance.

We have distributed over 1,000 saplings across rural and urban communities, working closely with local households, schools, and mosques to ensure proper planting and care. Each beneficiary receives both a sapling and training on how to nurture it.

The project targets native species that provide shade, prevent soil erosion, and support local biodiversity. We prioritize fruit trees in food-insecure areas to provide both environmental and nutritional benefits.
